Our community is defined by its culture and heritage and for 41 years, the Centre for the Arts, Brock University (Centre) has played an integral role defining the cultural life of St. Catharines-Niagara. The Centre presents approximately 70 professional touring events each season fulfilling its artistic mission to showcase Canadian and internationally acclaimed and emerging artists while emphasizing diversity, quality and quantity. To date, the Centre has presented in excess of one thousand artists and entertained over two million people.
The reality of a new performing arts centre in downtown St. Catharines is an exciting project for our community and the Centre is looking forward to moving its entire operations to this new venue in order to continue to provide patrons with quality professional programming. Debbie Slade, Director of Brock’s Centre for the Arts says, “We are looking forward to presenting our shows in 4 brand new fantastic theatres and we will continue to nurture and develop artists, organizations and audience members to maintain our reputation as one of the premier presenting programs in Canada”.
